Music & Creative Arts
Our Music and Creative Arts Ministry exists to lead people in authentic worship. Whether through our Worship Team, Dance Team or Friendship Company, we believe in displaying music and art that reflects the truth of scripture to draw people closer in their understanding and relationship with God. We recognize that worship is a choice we make every day, but our goal is to create a space where people can focus on who God is, what he has done for us, and give Him the praise he is due.
worship Team
We are thrilled that you are interested in serving with your vocal or instrumental gifts! We believe that God is using our team in amazing ways, and we would love to see if this is the right fit for you!
To begin this process, please fill out the interest form HERE so we can get to know you and your heart for serving in this ministry. At the bottom of that form, you will find a place to submit an audition video. Please paste the link to an unlisted YouTube link. This video audition should be of you singing or playing along to a song you would hear during a worship service here at Otterbein Church. You may use a backing track either with or without vocals, but please be sure we can hear you over the track. After we receive both the interest form and audition video, we will contact you with your next steps!
For more information about getting involved with the praise team or to set up an audition, email Rachel Weaver, Worship Leader.
Children's Worship Dance Team
Seraphim, Otterbein's Dance ministry, is for children ages 3–18 and is directed by Penny Jo Bach. They practice every Saturday morning during the school year. They perform in church twice a year.
For more information about the ministry, please email Penny Jo Bach.
FRIENDSHIP COMPANY
Friendship Company is a group for children in grades 2-7 to explore their God-given talents in singing and acting. The group meets in the K5 room on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friendship Company members minister to the church during the Christmas Celebration, on Palm Sunday Weekend, and they are planning a spring musical. For more information, contact Jennifer Bream.
