CHECK-IN for Sunday services HERE or the easiest way to check-in is on the OC App directly from the Sunday tab. Select who is here and which service you’re attending. Please Note: Services are available for check-in on the App two hours prior and 30 minutes after the service time. It’s quick & easy!! If you choose not to use the OC App and you're with us in-person, just complete the Welcome Card in the seat back pocket. Then drop the card into one of the baskets outside the Worship Center doors. If you experience any issues with check-in from the App, please stop by Connection Point for further assistance.

  • BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES FOR LIVING CLASS - Are you living the full life God wants for you—or feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges? Join us Thursday evenings this fall as we explore what the Bible says about facing real-life struggles. You’ll discover practical, biblical solutions and learn how to experience the peace and joy God offers, even in difficult seasons. The class meets from 6:30–9:00 p.m. in the K5 Room, starting September 3 and running through November 19. Cost is $30. Learn more HERE, on the OC App, or stop by Connection Point. Questions?   • CHILDREN/YOUTH DANCE MINISTRY - Seraphim, Otterbein's Dance Ministry has opened registrations now through August 16 for all dancers ages 3-18 years old. The cost for the year is $50 for the first dancer and $25 for each additional sibling. Our fall season will begin the week of September 7th.   • OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT | AUGUST 21 - Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and join us for a fun evening under the stars! We’ll be showing “The Wild Robot,” a family-friendly movie, at Otterbein Church Community Park (13375 Welty Road) on Friday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. It’s a great chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the last days of summer together.   • TIMELESS TREASURES | AUGUST 22 - Timeless Treasures (50 and older) is planning an afternoon of sweet treats and classic fun! They’re hosting an Ice Cream Social and Bingo at the Otterbein Community Center on Saturday, August 22 at 1:30 p.m. Sign up will be held on August 9 & 16. Save the date, we’d love to have you join us! 
  • WORSHIP AT THE PARK & PICNIC | AUGUST 23 - We will gather for an outdoor worship service and our church picnic on Sunday, August 23, at the Otterbein Church Park on Welty Road. The worship service will begin at 10:15 a.m. with a picnic to follow the church service. Children and youth will join adults for the worship service. Food, drinks, and table service will be provided.   • WIDOW/WIDOWER BREAKFAST | SEPTEMBER 12 - If you have experienced the loss of a spouse, we invite you to join us for Together at the Table, a welcoming breakfast designed to bring widows and widowers together for friendship, encouragement, and meaningful conversation. Just as sharing a meal has a way of fostering connection, our hope is that this gathering provides a place where no one has to walk the journey of loss alone. Join us on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Otterbein Community Center. Breakfast is provided at no cost. Registration is requested. Click HERE to learn more.

SERVE OPPORTUNITIES

  • CHURCH PICNIC HELP NEEDED—AUGUST 23 - Helpers are needed for the church picnic on Sunday, August 23 to set up tables and chairs, serve lunch, clean up, and tear down tables and chairs.   • CHILDREN’S MINISTRY SERVE OPPORTUNITIES - Becoming a member of our OC Kids Serve Team is a great way to connect with others, grow spiritually, and make an eternal difference in the lives of our OC Kids and their families while serving God. As we look toward the start of a new year in ministry, our greatest need is for Small Group Leaders at 9:30 a.m. For more information, check out of the form HERE, on the OC App or stop by Connection Point. 
  • YOUTH MINISTRY AT OTTERBEIN (Grades 6-12) - There’s a lot happening this fall in our youth ministry. It's a great way for your student to grow in their faith and meet other believers their age. We offer programming:
    • Wednesday Nights 7-8:30 p.m. | Open Gym & Food at 6— Starting September 9th, we will meet at the Otterbein Church Community Center for a meal, games, and Bible study. It's a great way to get plugged in!
    Sunday Mornings 9:30 a.m. | During this time, we prioritize helping Jesus become real to your students through worship, teaching, and regular small groups.
    Serve Opportunities | If you'd like to help students know, grow, and live out their faith, we have positions open on our Sunday morning team & Wednesday night team.

OC EVENTS   
  • ULTIMATE FRISBEE | MONDAY NIGHTS - Are you looking for a fun way to get active and connect with others? Join our new Ultimate Frisbee group that meets on Monday nights! We meet each week from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at the OC Community Park, gathering in the outfield of the softball field. This is a relaxed, pick-up style game—teams will be formed each week and rotate throughout the evening. High school age and up are invited to join in.   • FIRST TUESDAY PRAYER GATHERING | AUGUST 4 - We will have our First Tuesday Prayer Gathering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4. We will be meeting in Room 402. Park on the south side of the building and use the Groups Entrance. Everyone is invited to join in this time of prayer for our church, community, and world. 
  • OTTERBEIN QUILTERS | AUGUST 5 - The Otterbein Quilters gather on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the OC 45 Building. Their mission is to “sew stitches" of faith, fun and friendship with one another. Quilters of any skill level are welcome to attend. Bring a project in progress or one to show.   • FREEDOM RIDERS MOTORCYCLE GROUP | AUGUST 16 - Join a group from Otterbein for a group ride on August 16. The group will leave from the church parking lot at 1:00 p.m. EVERYONE WHO RIDES IS WELCOME whether they attend Otterbein Church or not. If you are interested in going on the ride or learning more about the route, click HERE, on the OC App, or stop by Connection Point on Sunday morning.   • BUS TRIP TO AMERICAN MUSIC THEATRE - We still have tickets to see “Winter Wonderland” at American Music Theatre in Lancaster on Thursday, November 5. The cost of the trip is $154.00 per person. This price includes your admission to the show, coach bus transportation, and a meal afterward at Hershey Farms. This trip is open to ANY ADULTS. Contact John Hoffman for tickets at 240-520-4743.
  • OC EVENTS - In addition to our Sunday morning services, we offer groups and special events to allow you to get to know one another with similar interests. Be sure to check out the OC Events page to see what's happening at Otterbein.
  • HOMETOWN HAPPENINGS - We are excited to introduce a new initiative to help local non-profit organizations share their upcoming events, camps, and retreats with the community! We believe in the power of connection and want to provide a platform where organizations can reach more people and make a greater impact. THE BIBLE JOURNEY

  • We’ve completed our journey through the New Testament with The Bible Journey. Thank you to everyone who participated! If you're still making your way through the readings, don't worry. All of The Bible Journey chapters and companion podcasts will remain available so you can continue at your own pace. Looking ahead, Pastor Mark is preparing our next journey through the Old Testament. In the meantime, during the month of August, we will follow Pastor Dave's devotional, Alongside. The August devotionals can be found under Bible Reading Plans HERE, on the OC App, and at facebook.com/groups/ocdevotionals (click “join” to have it show up in your feed). If you have notifications turned on in the OC App for “Bible Journey,” you’ll get a reminder each morning at 7:00 a.m. with a direct link to that day’s reading. We hope you'll continue growing in God's Word with us!  


OTHER NEWS & INFORMATION

  • OTTERBEIN SMALL GROUPS - Otterbein has many different small group environments where people connect with others and learn biblical principles for life. Groups include Men's Base Camp, Men's Groups, Women's Groups, Sunday Message Discussion Groups, and Adult Bible Classes. Groups meet on various days and at different times, some meeting weekly and others meeting less frequently. Most of the groups are on break for the summer, but you can get a general idea about what is typically offered. Click HERE to learn more.
  • ALL THINGS OTTERBEIN AT YOUR FINGERTIPS - We encourage you to download the OC APP where you can complete the Welcome Card, give online, read the announcements, share a prayer request, find message notes, register, and sign up for events, watch last week’s service, and much more!   • OC YOUTH & PARENTS - We’ve got exciting news! Your go-to spot for everything OC Youth is on the OC App! Just head to the “Sunday” section and tap on the OC Youth page. You’ll find upcoming events, registration forms, social media links, and much more—all in one place. Check it out and stay connected! 
  • OTTERBEIN PARK RESTROOM KEYCARDS - The restroom facilities at Otterbein Community Recreation Park (13375 Welty Road) are now open. The restrooms are locked except for scheduled group events/rentals. If you picked up a keycard last year, those keys have been reactivated, so there is no need for a new card. If you do not yet have a keycard, you can request one HERE, on the OC App, or by signing up at Connection Point. Please allow at least three business days for us to prepare your card. 
  • RAMSEY+ FINANCIAL RESOURCES - Otterbein has partnered with Dave Ramsey to offer a great tool for helping you take control of your money and get rid of your debt for good. With Ramsey+, you get a step-by-step plan and the tools to help you pay off debt faster, so you can finally spend and save how you want—worry-free. Ramsey+ includes the Financial Peace University course (on demand) along with many other great resources. Sign up HERE for this free resource.   • CHECK OUT RIGHTNOW MEDIA - Otterbein has partnered with RightNow Media to provide you free access to a huge, streaming, online, access-on-any-device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows, and more. To sum it up — it’s like the Netflix of Bible study videos and Christian entertainment. You will have FREE access to thousands of video resources to help you with parenting, marriage, finances, spiritual growth, leadership development, and more. It includes content for all ages and stages of life, and all of your family members are invited to set up their own accounts. Click HERE to start watching right away. 
  • PACKS OF OFFERING ENVELOPES AVAILABLE - Packs of offering envelopes are available at Connection Point in the Church lobby for anyone desiring to use them to give their offering or you can contact the church office at info@otterbeinchurch.org or 717.762.7147 for more information or to request envelopes. 
  • Have you joined the "OTTERBEIN ONLINE" Facebook group? Facebook has made some changes to its algorithms over the past several months and there is a good chance you are not seeing information from Otterbein Church on your newsfeed. The best way to make sure you see Otterbein News when it is posted on Facebook is to be part of the OTTERBEIN ONLINE group. If you are, anything posted will appear near the top of your newsfeed. Here is a link to the group. If you need help finding the group or aren't sure how to join, contact us at info@otterbeinchurch.org and we will assist you. 
  • TEXT ALERTS AND OC APP NOTIFICATIONS - The best way to get notifications regarding service and event cancellations/changes is to sign up for TEXT ALERTS and/or have notifications turned on in the OC APP. You can sign up for TEXT ALERTS by texting 94000 (enter where you would type a phone number or the person’s name) and putting the keyword OCINFO In the OC APP, go to the profile section and click the "Settings" icon. Under Church Settings you can select your notification categories. Be sure to select GENERAL notifications along with any other categories that you want to receive messages from. 
  • The Otterbein Church Park Community Center Gym on Welty Road is open Monday-Friday mornings from 7:45-9:45 a.m. for anyone interested in walking for exercise. If you have any questions, please contact the church office by phone at 717-762-7147 or by email.
