  • LET US KNOW YOU'RE HERE - Please take a moment and let us know you’re worshipping with us— whether in-person or online. CHECK-IN for Sunday services HERE or the easiest way to check-in is on the OC App directly from the Sunday tab. Select who is here and which service you’re attending. Please Note: Services are available for check-in on the App two hours prior and 30 minutes after the service time. It’s quick & easy!! If you choose not to use the OC App and you're with us in-person, just complete the Welcome Card in the seat back pocket. Then drop the card into one of the baskets outside the Worship Center doors. If you experience any issues with check-in from the App, please stop by Connection Point for further assistance.  
  • CHRISTMAS PHOTO BOOTH - Don’t miss the opportunity to capture special moments with your loved ones! A photo booth will be available in the K5 Room after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22. In addition, the poinsettia tree in the lobby will also serve as a festive backdrop for your Christmas pictures. To make it convenient, the lobby will remain open after Sunday services today (December 22) until 6:00 p.m. You’ll also have the opportunity to take more photos on Christmas Eve! 
  • OTTERBEIN WINTER APPAREL - Your orders are in! Winter apparel is available for pickup in the lobby today, December 22. There is a table set up on the far-right side of the Worship Center lobby, and a staff member will be in place to assist you before and after each service time.


NEW THIS WEEK
  • YEAR-END CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS - All donations to the church must be received no later than Dec. 31 to qualify for the charitable contribution deduction for the 2024 tax year. If mailing your donations, they must be postmarked no later than December 31.   • CHILDREN/YOUTH DANCE MINISTRY - Seraphim, Otterbein's Dance Ministry, has opened registration for NEW dancers now through January 5. Classes will begin on the week of January 13th. Register HERE or on the OC App. All dancers ages 3-18 years old are welcome to join. The cost for the year is $20 with additional children half price.   • FRIENDSHIP COMPANY (GRADES 2-6) - We have opened enrollment once again for Friendship Company! The group will meet in the K5 Room on Sunday evenings (January-April) from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friendship Company members are planning a musical in early spring, and they will minister to the church during the Palm Sunday Celebration. There will be a parent meeting on January 5, if you would like to bring your child to class that evening to learn more. Sign up on HERE or on the OC App.

  • POINSETTIA LIST - The Poinsettias on the tree in the lobby were given in honor or memory of friends and loved ones by individuals who attend Otterbein. A list of those who gave poinsettias and whom they were given in memory or honor of is available HERE and at Connection Point.
  • CHRISTMAS EVE at OTTERBEIN - Join us for a beautiful Christmas Eve service filled with carols, scripture, and the warm glow of candlelight. We’re offering four identical services on December 24 at 1:00, 2:30, 4:00, and 5:30 p.m. All services will be held in the Worship Center, or you can join us online. Nursery-Preschool ministry will be available during all services. Bring your family and friends—all are welcome! There are printed invitation cards available at the exit doors and at Connection Point. Invite a friend!
    • *Christmas Eve Services | 1:00, 2:30, 4:00 & 5:30 p.m.

    • 6th & 7th Grade Girls Book Club | Sunday, December 22 from 11:00-12:15 in the OC Youth Building  
  • CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES | Dec. 24 - 1:00, 2:30, 4:00 and 5:30 p.m., or you can join us online. Invite a friend!  
  • DECEMBER 29 | TWO SERVICES - On Sunday, December 29 we will be offering TWO services in our Worship Center. Join us at 9:30 or 11:00 a.m. Each service will include music by our worship team and a message by Pastor Mike. We will have our regular schedule for children and youth ministries as well. 
  • JEFF ALLEN COMEDY TOUR | Jan. 10 - Jeff Allen’s rapid-fire, clean comedy about marriage and family life has made him a favorite with audiences of all ages. His five Dry Bar Comedy specials have racked up nearly a billion views, and he's appeared on major platforms like America’s Got Talent, Netflix, Amazon, Huckabee, PureFlix, Showtime, Comedy Central, and VH1., He will be making a stop in Waynesboro to take the stage at Otterbein Church on Friday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. His 2025 tour blends his signature standup comedy with a heartfelt message of redemption.   • BAPTISM WORKSHOP | Jan. 12 - If you are a regular attender at Otterbein Church and would like to be baptized, the next Baptism Workshop will be held on January 12, at 11:00 a.m. in Room 402 of the OC Groups Wing. Baptisms will take place on Sunday, January 26. Click HERE to register for the workshop. 
  • FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY | Jan. 12 - This isn’t your typical “money class.” Financial Peace University (FPU) is practical, entertaining and fun! More than 1.5 million families and individuals have taken FPU. The average family completing the course pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in just 90 days. That’s an $8,000 change in position! FPU is based on more than 800 verses of Scripture and is a proven plan that will work for you. The class will meet for 9 weeks on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. beginning January 12.   • WELCOME TO OTTERBEIN CLASS | JAN. 19 - Are you new to Otterbein? Join Pastor Mike on Sunday, January 19 for our Welcome to Otterbein Class. In the class, you will learn more about who we are at Otterbein Church and how to take your next step. The class will be offered at 9:30 a.m. in the OC 45 building (beside the white tent building).   • TIMELESS TREASURES VALENTINE LUNCHEON | Feb. 8 - Timeless Treasures (50 and older) is celebrating Valentine's Day on Saturday, February 8 at the Otterbein Community Center. Whether you're single, or married, God's love is for everyone! Join us for a buffet luncheon followed with music by "Sweet Life," a husband-and-wife duo, who sing of God's love. Sign up with payment on January 12 & 19 at Connection Point. More details will be coming soon! 
  • OC EVENTS - In addition to our Sunday morning services, we offer groups and special events to allow you to get to know one another with similar interests. Be sure to check out the OC Events page to see what's happening at Otterbein. While the OC Christmas page is live on the OC App, you can find OC Events under the More tab.


CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL

  • 10 CHRISTMAS TRUTHS - To help prepare for Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus, Pastor Mark Green has written a special Christmas devotional, 10 Christmas Truths. Modeled after our monthly Bible Reading Plans, the devotional is available on the OC App and available on the OC App and at facebook.com/groups/ocdevotionals. Simply click "Join" to have it appear on your newsfeed. If you’ve enabled notifications for “Bible Reading Plan/Devotions” in the OC App, you’ll receive a daily reminder at 7:00 a.m. with a link to that day’s devotional. You can also download a copy of the Christmas devotional each week at otterbeinchurch.org/bible-reading-plans. Starting December 26, we’ll begin a new plan reading through the book of Galatians. Join us as we grow together in God’s Word! 


OTHER NEWS & INFORMATION

  • OTTERBEIN SMALL GROUPS - Otterbein has many different small group environments where people connect with others and learn biblical principles for life. Groups include Men's Base Camp, Men's Groups, Women's Groups, Sunday Message Discussion Groups, and Adult Bible Classes. Groups meet on various days and at different times, some meeting weekly and others meeting less frequently. Currently most of our small groups are on break for the holidays. We will roll out the details on the full line-up soon!
  • TEXT ALERTS AND OC APP NOTIFICATIONS - The best way to get notifications regarding service and event cancellations/changes is to sign up for TEXT ALERTS and/or have notifications turned on in the OC APP. You can sign up for TEXT ALERTS by texting 94000 (enter where you would type a phone number or the person’s name) and putting the keyword OCINFO In the OC APP, go to the profile section and click on the icon that looks like a stack of paper under the “My Giving” icon. Be sure to select GENERAL notifications and any other categories from which you want to receive messages.
  • ALL THINGS OTTERBEIN AT YOUR FINGERTIPS - We encourage you to download the OC APP where you can complete the Welcome Card, give online, read the announcements, share a prayer request, find message notes, register, and sign up for events, watch last week’s service, and much more! Click HERE, text "APP" to 833-921-6237, or search "Otterbein Church Waynesboro" in any of the app stores.
  • CHECK OUT RIGHTNOW MEDIA - Otterbein has partnered with RightNow Media to provide you free access to a huge, streaming, online, access-on-any-device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows, and more. To sum it up — it’s like the Netflix of Bible study videos and Christian entertainment. You will have FREE access to thousands of video resources to help you with parenting, marriage, finances, spiritual growth, leadership development, and more. It includes content for all ages and stages of life, and all of your family members are invited to set up their own accounts. Click HERE to start watching right away. 
  • PACKS OF OFFERING ENVELOPES AVAILABLE - Packs of offering envelopes are available at Connection Point in the Church lobby for anyone desiring to use them to give their offering or you can contact the church office at info@otterbeinchurch.org or 717.762.7147 for more information or to request envelopes. 
  • Have you joined the "OTTERBEIN ONLINE" Facebook group? Facebook has made some changes to its algorithms over the past several months and there is a good chance you are not seeing information from Otterbein Church on your newsfeed. The best way to make sure you see Otterbein News when it is posted on Facebook is to be part of the OTTERBEIN ONLINE group. If you are, anything posted will appear near the top of your newsfeed. Here is a link to the group. If you need help finding the group or aren't sure how to join, contact us at info@otterbeinchurch.org and we will assist you.
  • The Otterbein Church Park Community Center Gym on Welty Road is open Monday-Friday mornings from 7:45-9:45 a.m. for anyone interested in walking for exercise. If you have any questions, please contact the church office by phone at 717-762-7147 or by email.
