NOTEWORTHY NEWS
- GRIEFSHARE, SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS | Nov. 19 - The holiday season is fast approaching. This might be the first holiday after your loved one’s death or maybe it’s your second, third, or beyond. In the coming days, you are going to be facing some tough emotions. With the holiday focus on family, traditions, social events and “cheer,” emotions can blindside you. Knowing what to expect and being prepared can be an immense help. Surviving the Holidays is a one-night event designed to help you navigate the emotions of the holiday season. The group will meet on Tuesday, November 19, 7:00-8:45 p.m. in the OC 45 Building. We will begin with some light refreshments as we introduce ourselves to one another. Then we will watch a video, participate in a brief discussion, and encourage one another.
- OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX INFORMATION - We are once again partnering with Samaritan’s Purse in their Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection. Information, labels, and shoeboxes are available in the lobby today. ALL boxes must be returned to the church by Sunday, November 24. You can also PACK A BOX ONLINE FOR $25 ($31 if you add the Bible Study material to the box). You can choose the items you want to put in your box or have Samaritan’s Purse do it for you. Click HERE to pack your shoeboxes online. More information and resources for packing a shoebox can be found on the Sunday page of the website or the OC App.
- ADVENT BLOCKS AT CONNECTION POINT - Create a meaningful Christmas tradition with Advent Blocks. This themed set of blocks with included devotional makes a great resource for families that tangibly points to Jesus, not just on Christmas Day, but throughout the whole Advent season. We are offering a standard set of Advent Blocks at a discounted rate for Otterbein families. Purchase your set for just $20 at Connection Point beginning today, while supply lasts. CLICK HERE to watch a video that explains how to use Advent Blocks.

- THE GIFT OF SERVICE - As we prepare for the Christmas season, we are adding more service times to accommodate newcomers and guests to Otterbein Church. More services give YOU more opportunities to offer the gift of service. We are looking for friendly folks to serve as greeters.
